Bio

Lyric Soprano Sharon Neff holds a Bachelor of Music Degree from Houghton College and a Master of Music Degree from Eastman School of Music. Her most recent opera roles include Berta in Il Barbiere di Siviglia with Delaware Valley Opera, and Nedda in I Pagliacci with the New York Lyric Opera Theatre.

In 2012, she participated in the Young Artist Program at Opera New Jersey, where she covered the role of Leonora in Il Trovatore, and sang opera scenes from I Pagliacci (Nedda), Il Tabarro (Giorgetta), and Die Fledermaus (Rosalinde). Other summer opera programs include the New York Summer Opera Scenes where she performed scenes from Der Freischütz (Agathe), Manon (Manon) and Don Giovanni (Donna Anna). She has also completed an Italian language intensive in Urbania, Italy directed by Vernon Hartman, where she performed the role of Lauretta in Gianni Schicchi, as well as covered the title role in Suor Angelica.

Although classically trained, she has never abandoned her love for sacred music and has been featured in church concerts throughout the Philadelphia and South Jersey areas. She is currently teaching private voice lessons at Gloucester County Christian School (Sewell, NJ), Settlement Music School (Philadelphia, PA) and also has a small voice studio in Delaware County, PA. Sharon is continuing her vocal studies with Judith Natalucci in New York City.
